A lineup of Iranian films is set to appear in the running at various sections of the 14th International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva (FIFOG).
‘Lunch Time’ by Alireza Ghasemi, ‘The Pink Line’ by Nina Zarrabi and ‘Flying Fish’ by Mohammad Torivarian are some participants from Iran to vie at Short Film section of the festival.
The 15-minute ‘Lunch Time’ is about a high school girl who has come to hospital to identify the body of her mother.

The people in charge at the hospital would not let her into the morgue because of her young age.

Torivarian’s Flying Fish’ is the story of a new rural teacher who finds out that one of the students, as the only girl of the class, does not get into talk with others; and has a cigarette burn on his hands.‘The Pink Line’ is about Faezeh who is pregnant but not from her husband. Now, two days left to divorce, the pregnancy test result must be delivered to the court.

According to earlier reports by ifilm, acclaimed drama ‘Dressage’ by Pouya Badkoubeh, ‘The Snail’ by Mohammad Torivarian and ‘I Am Zal’ by Houman Naderi are also Iran contenders to respectively vie at Feature, Short and School competition sections of the festival. Placed under the sign of “the praise of difference”, this new edition of the International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva will show a hundred films, all genres combined, accompanied by either authors or specialists.

The event is set for April 29- May 5, 2019 in Geneva and its municipalities: Versoix, Vernier, Presinge and Carouge.
