AriobarzaN is an Iranian poet, writer, and filmmaker. He holds a Master’s in Cinema and a Ph.D. in the Philosophy of Art. He has written and directed several short films and theatrical productions, with his works featured in numerous international festivals. In addition to his work as a university professor in philosophy, cinema, and photography, he recently directed his first feature film, “The Divine Ideal of Killing”.
Biography
AriobarzaN (Ariobarzan Momen) is an Iranian poet, writer, and filmmaker, born in Mashhad in 1995. He holds a Master’s degree in Cinema and a Ph.D. in the Philosophy of Art.
Throughout his artistic career, AriobarzaN has written, directed, and produced four short films, alongside two theatrical productions. His short films have been selected for nearly 20 international film festivals, with his most recent work, Parthenogenesis, earning recognition at 15 prestigious festivals, including Asolo in Italy and Avanca in Portugal.
Beyond filmmaking, AriobarzaN is a university professor specializing in philosophy, cinema, and photography. At just 25, he published his first book of poetry, Zohm, through Anima Publishing in Iran.
His feature film debut, The Divine Ideal of Killing, stands as a bold and thought-provoking work that challenges artistic and social conventions. Created with an independent vision, the film reflects his commitment to cinematic expression free from external constraints.
AriobarzaN’s distinct intellectual and artistic vision sets him apart in Iranian cinema. His work introduces a unique cinematic language, powerfully evident in The Divine Ideal of Killing.
