Born in 1988, Seyed Javad Hosseini is an accomplished Iranian filmmaker and director whose work spans television, cinema, and independent short films. After earning his degree in Filmmaking with a specialization in Editing from the Applied Science University in 2012, Hosseini quickly established himself as a versatile professional in the film industry.

He began his career in the early 2000s, serving as an assistant director on the television series Narges (2005) and Coma (2006). His precision and technical acumen led him to work as a programmer on major Iranian series such as The Capital 3 (2014) and Warm Breath (2015). By 2016, he had advanced to the role of programming manager for the series Amorously.

Hosseini’s experience extended to feature films as well, where he contributed as an assistant director and programmer on Captivation (2013) and later as a programmer on Cyanide (2015). These experiences solidified his reputation as a creative force with a deep understanding of both artistic and logistical aspects of filmmaking.

In parallel to his television and feature work, Hosseini pursued a career as an independent director, creating a series of short films that received international acclaim. His drama short Hachure earned him the Diploma of Honor for Best Film at the 13th International Haiku Amateur Little Film (HALF) Festival in India (2023) and at the Just a Minute Festival in Boston, USA (2024). His science fiction and mystery short A Few Minutes Later was nominated for Best Directing and Best Film at the Best Film Awards in London (2021), and again for Best Film at the Cortisonanti Awards in Naples, Italy (2023).

Through his diverse career, Hosseini has demonstrated a strong balance between artistic sensitivity and technical mastery, earning recognition both in Iran and internationally for his precise storytelling and innovative direction.
