Ebrahim Sheibani (fa:ابراهیم شیبانی) is a highly acclaimed Iranian director, writer, and producer, known for his contribution to the Iranian cinema. Born in Tehran in 1980, Sheibani started his filmmaking career in 1997 as a production assistant and first assistant director for renowned Iranian directors such as Darioush Mehrjui, Bahram Beyzai, Naser Taghvai, and Rakhshan Bani-Etemad.

Sheibani earned his Master’s degree in film direction from the Cinema & Theater School of Tehran Art University. He made his directorial debut with the short film “Dark Rising” in 2001, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. He became the youngest feature film director in Iran at the age of 20 when he directed his first film “Honey Bane” in 2002, which became a blockbuster hit.

Sheibani’s second feature film “Crime Scene, No Entry” was released in 2007 and received a nomination for Best Direction at the Fajr Film Festival, the most prestigious film festival in Iran. His third feature film “Nowhere, Nobody” was released in 2011 and received widespread critical acclaim.

Sheibani has also directed several television series, including “Puzzle” (2014) and “Whisper” (2018). His latest film, “Golden Blood,” was released in 2021.

Throughout his career, Sheibani has received numerous accolades for his work in Iranian cinema. He was nominated for Best Directing at the Fajr Film Festival in 2007 for “Crime Scene, No Entry.” Sheibani’s contributions to Iranian cinema have established him as one of the most talented and respected filmmakers in the country.
