Mohammad Najafi was born in 1985 in Tehran, Iran. From an early age, he demonstrated a keen interest in both technical precision and creative storytelling. This duality led him to pursue a bachelor’s degree in industrial metallurgy, where he cultivated skills in problem-solving, meticulous planning, and technical execution. However, Mohammad’s creative aspirations extended far beyond engineering, steering him toward the world of filmmaking.

To nurture his creative abilities, Mohammad attended various independent film and technical schools, completing specialized courses in screenwriting and editing. These programs provided him with a solid foundation in storytelling and visual composition, allowing him to merge his technical skills with his artistic vision.

Over the years, Mohammad amassed a diverse portfolio in the film industry, contributing to projects that span short films, promotional videos, and documentaries. Among his notable works, the short film Basat highlights his talent as a screenwriter, while his role as assistant director in the documentary HamSafar showcases his collaborative spirit and technical acumen. These experiences have shaped his holistic approach to filmmaking, blending methodical craftsmanship with emotive storytelling.

Mohammad’s most ambitious project to date is the documentary Heritage, a deeply personal exploration of family, sacrifice, and resilience. Taking nearly six years to complete, the film reflects his dedication to capturing authentic human experiences and addressing complex societal themes.
