Biography

Nava Nemati, an Iranian actress, director, and playwright, was born in 1990. She graduated from Tehran’s Azad University of Art and Architecture with a Bachelor of Arts in dramatic arts and a minor in acting. The fact that Nava is a member of Iran’s Theater Play Writers’ Forum shows how dedicated she is to the theater. 

In 2013, Nava’s acting career really took off, and she started to establish herself in the business. She has acted in numerous short and long-form films, showcasing her range and skill on screen. “The 180 Degrees” (2020), “The Party” (2020), “The Pink Line” (2019), “2 Dogs” (2019), “Trophy” (2019), “Barcelona” (2017), and “Keshand” are a few of her well-known works (2017).

However, Nava’s career as an artist began with her writing and directing plays. She produced “Nurse of Time,” her debut play, in 2016 and “Goodbye Sir,” her second play, in 2017. Her theatrical endeavors demonstrate her creativity and stage characterization skills.

Nava continued to be committed to the arts and broadened her skill set by trying her hand at filmmaking. She made her filmmaking debut in 2022 with the short “Unripe,” which she also directed. She was able to use this project to practice her visual storytelling skills.

Nava has produced and directed films, in addition to acting professionally on stage. She has given notable performances in “Albateh,” “The Kitchen,” and “I’m a Woman, Can You Hear Me?” (2013). Audiences have been enthralled by her stage presence and compelling performances, which have demonstrated her talent as a versatile actress.
